Centennial Auto-Sport & Tire's Not-A-Meteorologist, Kevin Gallant, Offers His Generator Advice For Hurricane Fiona

"While much depends on the exact track of the storm," CBC meteorologist Ryan Snoddon says, "people in Cape Breton, eastern and central Nova Scotia, P.E.I. and eastern New Brunswick should begin to prepare."

Predictably, Centennial's not-a-meteorologist, Kevin Gallant, asks, "Prepare? Seriously? Is that really necessary?"

Kevin's job, of course, is to sell ATVs, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and power equipment at Centennial Auto-Sport & Tire in Summerside. Honda power equipment, to be precise. (CAST's Charlottetown location also sells Yamaha generators.) But the Kevin we've come to know and love in the lead-up to past storms remains true to himself today. "Hey, if you wanna come look at a generator, come find me, I'll show you. I've got all kinds. Different sizes. Different shapes. Inverts. Whatever you want. But... do you think you're gonna need it? Doubt it."

Kevin, of course, is famously wrong about the weather. Instead of trusting Kevin's fault advice, which is based on a bizarre notion that "management" ordered too many generators and that actual meteorologists don't know what they're talking about, Centennial's official recommendation is summed up quite easily: don't be the guy who's looking for a generator after Hurricane Fiona brings triple-digit wind speeds and triple-digit rainfall to much of Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.
