u·nique/yo͞oˈnēk/ | being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else.

By the true meaning of the word, not the way it's used in modern English to signify anything mildly unusual, the CKX Titan is unique.

There's nothing like it. Try and find winter motocross-style helmet that is undeniably warm, entirely customizable, and remarkably light. It doesn't exist, not at anything resembling the Titan's affordable price point.

The Titan's claims to fame are numerous.

CUSTOMIZABLE

Follow this. The Titan includes five air vents, an adjustable front vent, a removable muzzle, a height-adjustable peak, two goggle frames, a removable nose guard, two different removable breath guards, two chin curtains, a bunch of vent plugs, a removable neck curtain, a removable face guard... you get the picture. The end result is a helmet that can be set up for you individually.

WARMTH

Remember when your mother taught you to layer up even if you were just going out in the backyard to play in the snow? "It's easier to take a layer off than it is to come back inside and get more clothes once you've already gotten cold." The customizable Titan basically starts under the same premise: it's all warmed up for trail riding. If anything, chances are you'll more likely need to cool yourself down than find out how to warm up.

WEIGHT

In its lightest configuration, the Titan weighs as little as 1,350 grams. Before you've even opened the box you know something's up, because the box feels empty. In fact, there's a lot of stuff in the box, because the Titan helmet comes with two sets of goggles and an array of alternative extra goodies beyond the standard setup.

FOG

Because of all the vents, the vent plugs, and the tight seal between muzzle and goggles, the Titan is designed to keep the moist air out and the dry air in. After all, if you're fogged up, the fun's over. If you want even more assurance, there's an electric model, too.

DOZENS OF CONFIGURATIONS

Between the Original Backcountry, the Air Flow Backcountry, the Electric Backcountry, and the Electric Air Flow and all of the assorted colour options, there are more Titan options than you can count. If you laid awake at night thinking up an ingenious new colour combo, chances are CKX already designed it for a Titan. Plus there are the design differences: Steep, Hopover, Sidehill, Avalanche, Sandstorm, Splinter, Altitude, Climb, and solid options.

INTEGRATED GOGGLES

The Titan's goggles (there are actually two sets, one for trail riding and one ventilated pair for backcountry riding) were designed from the get-go to be part of this CKX helmet. That doesn't just mean there are clips to hold them in place on top of the helmet. The Titan goggles are an integral part helmet, so they're an integral part of a perfectly tight seal.

VISION RANGE

If there's one off-putting factor with plenty of helmets over the years, especially for new riders, it's the feeling of claustrophobia when you're blasting across a trail at speed and you just don't have your typical range of vision. This can be especially true if you prefer goggles over visors. But the Titan's 210° range of vision eliminates this problem – your peripheral vision is in tact.
