The Road-Legal 2019 Honda CRF450L Is One Part Of Honda's Expanding CRF Dirt Bike Family

As Honda unveils a newly expanded CRF off-road bike family for 2019, the most noteworthy new model may well be the Honda CRF450L. Or maybe the CRF250RX. Or the CRF450RWE. Or perhaps it's the overall revamping Honda has done to continuing models, like an updated platform for the CRF450X, new ECU settings and a launch control system for the CRF450RX, and improved low-to-midrange performance for the CRF250R.

But fans of Honda's bikes are sure to be excited by these new models.

2019 HONDA CRF450L

The CRF450L is the street and trail bike for which Honda riders have been clamouring. Street legal thanks to LED lighting, mirrors, and a road-worthy exhaust system, the CRF450L uses a six-speed transmission with a broad ratio spread, perfect for acceleration out of slow speed, low traction corners but also ideal for on-road cruising. The CRF450L should be on sale in September.

2019 HONDA CRF250RX

Honda says the CRF250RX is "a weapon for closed-course off-road competitions," because of dedicated suspension and engine control unit settings. There are black rims, a Renthal Fatbar handlebar,  launch control, an 18-inch rear wheel, and a large-capacity 8.3-litre fuel tank.

2019 HONDA CRF450RWE

Closely based on the bikes developed by the Team Honda HRC team, the CRF450RWE is the Works Edition factory replica full-size motocrosser in Honda's 2019 lineup. Honda says there's a specially designed cylinder head with hand-polished ports. Together with a Yoshimura titanium slip-on muffler and special ECU settings, you'll benefit from a swell of torque across the rev range. There are graphics from Ken Roczen's No.94 race bike, as well.
